I don’t know about you, but destination with diverse landscapes, endless animal encounters, and a variety of adventurous activities is a dream destination for me. I had wanted to visit the Galapagos Islands since I first learnt about Darwin’s theory of evolution in high school biology class, so there was no way Darcy and I would be skipping the Galapagos on our Latin American backpacking adventure. Being a notoriously expensive destination, I had to conduct some pretty extensive research, going deeper into the internet than I normally would, in order to ensure we wouldn’t have to fork out a small fortune. Luckily, it paid off, and we spent 8 amazing days in January 2017 on the 3 most popular inhabited Galapagos Islands for about $750 each.
